Holy Anointing of the Sick
Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
As the gospels relate, the sick came to Jesus for healing. Moreover, He loves us so much that he died for our sake. Through the apostle James, He commanded us: "Are there any who are sic among you? Let them send for the priests of the Church, and let the priests pray over them, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith full save the sick persons, and the Lord will raise them up; and if they have committed any sins, theirs sins will be forgiven them". James 5:14-16
At the Cathedral, we celebrate the Anointing Masses, one during Lent and one during Advent.
At Our Lady of Lourdes, we celebrate an Anointing Mass during Advent.
Dates and Time for these Masses will be confirmed on our Newsletters when they are available.
