The ten windows which dominate high in the walls of the nave are from the studios of F.X. Zettler, Munich. They each feature a parable from the gospel of Luke. Beginning with the window on the north-east wall adjacent to the Lady Chapel: The Vineyard; The Sower; The Good Samaritan; The Barren Tree; The Good Shepherd; The Prodigal Son; The Rich Man and Lazarus; The Pharisee and the Publican; The Rich Young Man; The Talents. The windows in the Day Chapel are particularly beautiful. Here we have Christ the King and Mary Queen of Heaven, the Rose window and the Nativity. The small set of four in The Lady Chapel depict: the Immaculate Conception; The meeting of Joachim and Anne; the Presentation; The Espoused. All these windows, including the set of four, are from the Harry Clark Studios of Dublin. The work of this studio is known world-wide for the delicacy of design, richness of colour and the filigree nature of the paintwork. Recently added (2003) to the windows in the Lady Chapel is ‘The Annunciation’, a window designed and installed by Graham Stewart, a New Zealand artist from Rangiora.
