Shining Stars (Pre-School Music Group) – Thursday mornings (during school terms) from 9:30am in the Cathedral Lounge.  Come along for music fun, followed by morning tea and play.

Praying the Sunday Gospel is held every Friday in the Parish Office Meeting Room at 11.00 am.  This is a time for quiet contemplation and reflection on the Gospel.

Diocesan Library – Tuesday and Friday, 10:30 – 11:45am, friendly personnel are available to help you find books/resources.  To visit the Library, please access it through the Parish Office and make sure to sign in on the Visitor’s Log.

News & Information

The Annunciation Mass – Monday, 8 April at 9am in the Cathedral.  NOTE:  Since there will be a Mass Monday morning, there will be no Liturgy of the Word with Communion that day at 12:05pm, the Cathedral.

Blokes Morning Tea – Tuesday, 9 April at 10am, at the Manawatu Golf Club.  All Blokes welcome.

Ladies’ Movie Afternoon – Tuesday, 9 April at 1:30pm in the Cathedral Lounge.  This month’s movie is “Rosie” – written by award-winning Roddy Doyle, is the story of a mother trying to protect her family after they become homeless.

Hours of Mercy – Each Friday from 5 April – 17 May, 9:45am – 1pm at St Mary’s Catholic Church.  The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for you to come and pray in the presence of Jesus Christ.

Farewell and Thank You to the Diocese of Palmerston North from Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand – Sunday, 14 April at 9:30am Mass.  Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand would like to express their gratitude to the Diocese of Palmerston North for the support and hospitality they have received since they arrived in 1894.  A group of sister will attend the 9:30am Eucharist at the Cathedral  on Sunday, 14 April.  After Mass, as ‘Farewell’ and ‘Thank You,’ the sisters are hosting Morning Tea.  Please join them for fellowship.

The Fifth Gospel Project – Father John O’Connor’s Food for Faith forum is collecting and collating for publication stories of personal experiences with God.  If you have an experience and would like to share it with Fr O’Connor and this mission, please email your story to john@fff.org.nz before the end of April.  Stories can be up to 400 words.
