Special Collection – Sunday, 19 November – Several years ago, there was a fund set up to support children, wanting to attend St Peter’s College (SPC) and needing financial assistance.  To donate to this great resource for families in need, next Sunday, there will be donation envelopes available in the Church foyer.  You can also donate via your bank account and designate ‘SPC Assistance’ and your planned giving number in the remarks .  Your donations are truly appreciated by those that need the extra financial help.

Warning Scam Calls/Text/Email First and foremost know that none of our priests or any priest, for that matter, would request any money or gift cards from a parishioner via the phone, text or email.  If you receive a text, call or email that seems strange, ignore it and Do Not Reply.  If you encounter any such activity, please contact the Parish office for more information.

Diocese of Palmerston North Annual Report – Tuesday 21 November at 5:30pm, Diocesan Center – We wish to invite you to the presentation of our Diocesan annual report.  Liam Greer, Diocesan Manager, will introduce the report and discuss key areas of focus. Volunteers Needed – We have not had a huge response and are still in need of volunteers to serve as vergers – attendants to greet visitors and ensure the safety of our Cathedral.  The opening hours of the Cathedral are contingent on the number of volunteers we are able to get.  If you have an hour or two each week, can assist with this or need more information, please contact the parish office, 06-357-2891 or 027-4408544.

We, also, need more people to help with two of our important ministries – cleaning the Cathedral and Children’s Liturgy at 9.30am Mass.  If you feel called to do either of these things, please contact Meg de Joux (Pastoral Assistant) at pastoral.admin@pncathedral.org.nz or 021 965 974.  “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another” (1 Peter, 4:10)

Diocesan Library  – There is a plethora of books for Catholic study and reading available for your enjoyment and inspiration in the Diocesan Library.  For your convenience, during the month of November, there will be personnel manning the library on Tuesdays to Fridays 10:30am until 11:45am.  We would be very happy if you were to come and use this time, space and valuable resources.  Please access and check in through the Parish office.
