Report on AGM OLOL Guild
At our recent Meeting the following were elected to office for the coming year: President Anne Odogwu, Secretary Rose Semmens and Treasurer Josie Conlon. The role of the Guild has changed from its earlier years when there was a larger group of younger women who joined up to share fellowship at the founding of this ”New”Parish in the 50’s. The group members are ageing but are still active in assisting with refreshments after funerals and gathering to offer a social outing for those wish to retain their contact. The funds raised over the past year allowed us to donate a total of $2,200 to our Mission Stations in Samoa and Fiji as well as a $500 donation to a Ukrainian assistance fund. To ensure the continued life of the Guild it was proposed that we invite women from the other parishes to join us at meetings when they wish. For further information contact Anne 06 3503081 evenings or Rose 021 153 4810. Next Meeting: Wednesday 5 July 1.30 pm – bring along a “Family Treasure” to share with the group.
