PONDER

Time to lighten the load! Identify one element in your life – a relationship, attitude, behaviour –  that chronically keeps you from progressing on the spiritual journey. Take steps to reconcile, heal, and move forward. “Don’t think you need a lot of extra equipment for this. You are the equipment. No special appeals for funds. Keep it simple.

KID’S CORNER

Hear the Word of the Lord … (Jeremiah 7: 2)
Jeremiah was a prophet who lived hundreds of years before Jesus came. Jeremiah shared the words that God spoke to him. He called people to turn back to God and do the right thing in their lives.

You hear God speaking in your life when you go to Mass. When you hear the lector, deacon or priest say the words “the word of the Lord” and “the Gospel of the Lord,” you can know that it is truly God speaking to you right where you are. When you next go to Mass, pay close attention to the words you hear in the readings. What is God saying to you?

Loving God, open my heart to hear you speaking in my life. Amen.
