Welcome
We welcome Br. Anselm to Palmerston North. Br. Anselm is living at Our Lady of Lourdes Presbytery for 16 weeks while he attends language course for higher education.

I am Br. Mary Anselm Doria Libradilla. I am a Filipino from Cebu, Philippines. I arrived here in New Zealand in 2018 and I lived at Kopua Monastery.

Cathedral of the Holy Spirit Wednesday 8 March from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm

Cathedral Closed for 5 days
The Cathedral will be closed from Monday 20 March to Friday 24 March (inclusive) for repairs and maintenance. Normal Mass and prayer times remain the same. Weekday Masses will be celebrated in the Cathedral lounge. The Cathedral will reopen on Saturday 25 March 2023.

Vaka Festival
Please join us at the Vaka Festival which is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate our local Pasifika youth, people, cultures and talent.  This free Aiga/Whanau event is held on Saturday 4 March from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm at Bill Brown Park, Highbury, Palmy, which includes cultural and dance performances, Pasifika kaikai and arts/crafts stalls, Pasifika LesssGooo Sports day, hula fit sessions, free health checks/vaccination and screening clinics and lots more. All welcome.

Special Welcome to New Principal at St Mary’s Foxton
Everyone is invited to meet the new principal Phil Gunn on Sunday 5 March, 10.30 am Mass, St Mary’s Foxton, followed by morning tea.

Blokes Morning Tea
For the 14th of March only, Blokes morning tea will be at the Esplanade Cafe 10.00 am.

Every 2nd Tuesday of each month at Manawatu Golf Club Café, Centennial Lagoon (pay your own only).
Every 4th Tuesday of the month at 10.00 am in the Cathedral Lounge (morning tea provided).

Wednesday Mass and Morning Tea at Our Lady of Lourdes Church
Every Wednesday morning, 10 am Mass followed by morning tea in Our Lady of Lourdes Foyer.

Shining Stars (Pre-school Music Group)
Every Thursday morning (during school term time), 9.30am in the Cathedral lounge for a Music Session followed by morning tea. Everyone is most welcome!

Christian Meditation
If you are interested in learning about Christian Meditation or being part of a meditation group, we currently meditate at Te Rau Aroha: The Diocesan Centre (33 Amesbury St) on Monday evenings at 7pm.
