Praying the Sunday Gospel  is held every Friday in the Cathedral Lounge at 11.00 am. Everyone is welcome to attend.

 

PRIESTS AWAY:
Our bishop and priests will be away in Rotorua for an assembly of all the Diocesan priests throughout New Zealand from Monday until Friday morning this week. In an emergency, a priest will be available at the St. Mary’s Parish. There will be a service of the Word with Holy Communion Tuesday to Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes 10am. (No Exposition of Blessed Sacrament on Friday) There will be a Liturgy of the Word and Holy Communion at the Cathedral at 12.05pm. Monday and Tuesday and Mass will be celebrated at 12.05pm thereafter for the rest of the week. 9am Saturday.  Foxton, no Mass Thursday.

Ladies Movie Afternoon10 October, 1.30pm in the Cathedral Lounge.  The movie is ‘Sister Smile’, the true story of the Belgian nun who became known as ‘The Singing Nun’ and her struggle between the church, her family and her self.

Fr Chris Skinner Concert: St Brigid’s, FeildingFr Chris Skinner, Priest of the Society of Mary based in Auckland and a renowned Composer and Singer is coming to St Brigid’s Parish, Feilding for a Concert:  2.30pm, Sunday 15 October; Tickets: $25, $10 for students.  Afternoon tea will be provided. Bishop John Adam’s Ordination and Orchestral Mass –a huge thank you to the Parish Team, the volunteers and all the parishioners who assisted and made these events possible.  Your hard work and attention to detail resulted in two very special occasions for Bishop John and joyous for hundreds of attendees and viewers. We have received many messages of thanks and congratulations.
