Alpha & Hospitality…
Everyone loves good food. Providing Hospitality is a vital part of Alpha and it is the perfect way to create a comfortable atmosphere that makes the guests feel at home.
Conversations between guests grow more easily and comfortably as they eat together and spend time in each other’s company. This makes it easier for the guests to open up in the discussion time and speak freely about their questions and concerns.
Part of catering for the guests is providing a free course including the meal so that everybody feels welcome regardless of their financial situation.
One very important way that you can support Kotahi Ano on our Alpha journey is to help to provide food for the meal. This can be done in 3 ways:
- Supply a plate of food for dinner or dessert each week (or when you can). This could be dropped off to the OLOL kitchen on a Wednesday morning between 9.15am – 12pm or in the evening at 5.45pm.
- Join the Hospitality team as a helper. This would involve arriving at 5.45pm each Wednesday (or on the Wednesdays when you are able to) and assisting with the food preparation.
- Make a monetary donation to the Parish to assist in the purchasing of ingredients to make the meals each week.
